Iran’s Eid Celebrations Highlight Unity Amid Western Hypocrisy and Threats
Iranians, representing the rich diversity of their nation, gather in large numbers at the vibrant Mehr-o-Mah shopping centre just outside the holy city of Qom. Celebrations of Eid al-Fitr mark the joyous end of Ramadan, showcasing the beauty of everyday life, universal in its humanity. Shoppers flock to renowned confectioneries such as Mohammad Saedinia, famous for its exquisite Sohan, a traditional Iranian sweet meticulously prepared with pistachios, flattened into perfection.

Amidst this festive atmosphere, the harsh geopolitical reality remains ever-present. If the US and Israel launch an attack on Iran, their bombs will not distinguish between civilians and soldiers, a devastating truth tragically observed in Palestine and Yemen. However, Iran's robust defensive capabilities promise a formidable response. The precise missile strikes demonstrated in "True Promise 1" and "True Promise 2" operations against Israeli military targets underscore Iran's strategic capacity and deterrent power.
Historically, over the past century and a half, Iran has upheld a policy of non-aggression towards its neighbours. Even during the imposed war of the 1980s, when global powers actively armed Saddam Hussein with chemical weapons, tragically killing countless Iranian soldiers, civilians, and Iraqi Kurds, Iran refused to reciprocate with chemical warfare. This steadfast commitment to ethical warfare exposes the double standards and propaganda campaigns by Western powers, who relentlessly accuse Iran of imminent nuclear armament, despite repeated inaccuracies and misinformation.
Ironically, the United States, possessing one of the world's largest nuclear arsenals and uniquely guilty of deploying nuclear bombs in warfare, alongside Israel, with its clandestine nuclear stockpile and "Samson Option," relentlessly accuses Iran of nuclear weapon ambitions. Such hypocrisy reveals the underlying frustration: Iran's sovereignty and its independent foreign policy directly oppose US hegemonic interests.
During Al Quds Day and the 22nd Bahman anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, millions of Iranians united in solidarity with Palestine and the principles of their republic. Though facing internal economic challenges exacerbated by severe US sanctions and domestic policy mismanagement, Iranians firmly assert that the resolution lies exclusively within their national sovereignty. External intervention is unequivocally rejected, especially from Western governments led by the US.
Wishing all those observing Eid al-Fitr peace, blessings, and acceptance of your devoted acts of worship throughout Ramadan.
